BC Ferry To Sail Up River Thames

BC Ferries new 1600 passenger Coastal Celebration will visit London, England on May 12th as it makes its way from FSG Shipyards in Flensburg, Germany where it was built, to Vancouver, BC.


Like each of its two sister ships the Coastal Renaiassance and the Coastal Inspiration, the Coastal Celebration is wrapped in larger-than-life photographic images promoting the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter games, as well as British Columbia tourism destinations.


The Coastal Celebration will be moored in the Thames just east of Tower Bridge at 11 a.m.  on Monday, May 12th, before leaving that evening and continuing its journey to Canada's west coast.

Howe Sound Outrigger Race Is World Class Event

The 10th annual International Howe Sound Outrigger Race is taking place in Gibsons Harbour on BC's Sunshine Coast, July 12-13.   Hosted by the Gibsons Paddle Club in cooperation with many community partners, it has become one of the largest, most prestigious outrigger events in Canada, achieving widespread recognition as a world class event.

New Floatplane Air Service Between Vancouver and Comox

April 01/08


West Coast Air has inaugurated  daily scheduled service from Vancouver to Comox, on Vancouver Island,effective April 1, 2008 with departures from the downtown terminal just west of Canada Place, arriving at the Comox Bay Marina. 


Six flights are scheduled Monday - Friday  with two flights on Saturday & Sunday.
